we had green grass until the morning snow…they didn’t forcast this….we got over 2 inches.

they said we were going to get the snow in the afternoon….at 2:00 it was sunny and bright….Caroline got off the bus at 3:20 and this happened! this is the same view as the picture above… white out.

the weatherman said the snow was going to come in “like a freight train”  he was right!!!

now….just waiting for the hubby to make it home safely.

can you tell cabin fever has set in…i saw this on another blog and had to give it a try with Coop’s books…it stayed like this for a whole 2 days.

this bookcase is random….a few oldies, cook books, children’s books….

my secretary desk is filled with my oldest Golden books…i’m not quite ready for the kids to get their hands on these.

and Caroline’s collection….although since this picture she has changed out some of the picture books for early readers…very exciting!

is it too early to get out the gardening books? wishful thinking around here….as i look out the window to see snow flurries.

winter pool fun

Cooper’s friend invited him to a pool party last Friday.

one of my favorite places to be on a cold winter day.

a splash pool and 3 year olds is a perfect combination!

Thursday night we headed up to the hill.

great form Caroline!

after a couple runs Caroline was off on her own on the bunny slope while Rob worked with Cooper.

ski3 ski4 ski5

a pep talk on the top of the hill……

as the sun went down…night skiing.  Cooper  and i headed in to warm up and Caroline and Rob headed up the chairlift for a few runs.

teaching a 3 year old how to ski takes a lot of patience….and as the night went on he got VERY tired…..and ended up sobbing at the bottom of the hill.

ski8 ski9

after 2 hours….still smiling!

winter sky

after school i decided to take the kids over to the cove for a quick skate and of course i wanted to try out the new camera.

the sky changed dramatically as the sun went down.

and to our surprise…a train came rumbling through…i didn’t notice Coop covering his ears until i downloaded it. winter6 winter7

Cooper loves to help me clear the ice.

and Caroline skates her little heart out….always with a smile!
