we have been waking up to a lot of snow.

all that screaming and fun makes for a very sleepy boy. i can’t resist taking pictures of my sleeping kiddos….so peaceful.
for his whole life of 3 years this little boy has watched his big sis
every Sunday he watches her play basketball
every week we wait while she is in dance classes
on the side lines at every soccer game…..lots of waiting and lots of watching.
this week he started his swim lessons…and he couldn’t be happier!

i love this dress….i used this pattern and this pattern.
i found this great fabric, a soft flannel
and made this dress for Caroline for Easter when she was 3!
it was a long dress on her …below her knees
guess what…..now she is 5…and it still fits…AND she loves it! it looks longer then it really is in this picture so she wore jeans under it….she said it was warm and cozy all day!
of course cooper had to get in on the early morning photo shoot….and all i kept thinking was….these kids are “morning people” and i am not….now, where did my coffee go!
and if your wondering why the kids are cracking up…….
coop kept putting his foot in front of the camera and i kept saying “stinky feet!” boys are weird.
it has been snowing like crazy
about a foot of snow on Wednesday
and then the rain on Thursday washed it all away….
now its snowing again!

this is the view from my kitchen…we have a few huge pine trees in the yard.
back out to shovel…..no need to join a gym this winter!

makes you smile in the middle of the day when you remember something….

the quiet of a small town…i feel at home more than ever.
after a weekend trip to Boston with the kids, 3 play dates, skating, bowling….endless kiddo time…..Rob and I were off to New York City for a night away! After vacation break with the kids i really needed this vacation with the hubby!
Friday morning we took the train in to explore this amazing city!
we walked and walked
i took pictures
stopped when we were hungry
hailed a cab when our feet had enough
no agenda + no kids = a great day in the city!

Sunday we took the kids to The Common
for ice skating at the Frog Pond.
we won’t let them go in the pond in the summer because the splash pond has a green tint to it…so they were excited to know the ice was ok!
i tried to get a picture of the state house in the background while Caroline was skating.
i love how Cooper adores his big sister….he calls her his “little momma.”

can’t get out of the park without a stop at the playground….even in winter. do kids naturally enjoy scaring the bageebees out of their mother….”I'm flying!”
