cousins

Girl cousins!!! all the way from Georgia! Caroline is usually the only one in pink around here....with 4 boy cousins ranging in ages 4 to 17.....and a brother.....this week she was in her glory when we had a visit on Monday......
On the agenda.......dress-up, crown making, doll house and barbies.

Cooper had a buddy too!

Rob finished the painting.
Cabinets went in on Saturday......a few things still need to be done.
Tile finished today.....we have to seal it.
And Coop and I are off to the fabric store to look at material for the curtains...poor Coop....he really dislikes the fabric store...I think I'll have to bribe him with a lollipop.
My little girl is growing up too fast.....right before my very eyes.....I just want to freeze every smile and every funny face.

NYC trip

Rob and I took a day trip to New York City to see the Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall......we had soooo much fun! Gramma and Shener watched the kids and we had the whole day to explore the city.

Even though its only mid November......Christmas is in the air! The tree is in place......this is the scaffolding needed to put on all those lights!!!

Below is a picture of St.Patricks Cathedral. The forecast was rain all day but we didn't see any...just a bit of fog hovering around the buildings and making everything glow at night.

Check out the "I Can Make That Party" over at Just a Girl blog....I found this great tutorial for classic silhouettes....I can't wait to hang these up in our new space! Construction update: tile is going in as I type! And the cabinets are ready to go in this weekend!

Where did the snow go?

Mommy broke down and bought the pink skis.....shouldn't every little girl have a pair! She was a little worried that her boots didn't match....I told her a few princess stickers would look nice and she'll be good to go!
Caroline wants to ride the chairlift this year......
Having a little fun before the snow arrives!! Notice Cooper has his own pair of "sticks." They walked around the ski sale saying "sticks, sticks...we got sticks!" And one lady said, "tell your mommy they are called poles." Really!?!
Isn't he the cutest little boy you have ever seen!

Construction and Colds

The walls are done! The walls are done! Now, Rob and I need to paint them before the tile goes in....the tile should be here Friday....Yikes! And the cabinets are in too! (they came in when they said they would, amazing!) This new space is really exciting...I can't get over how smooth the walls are. A complete opposite of the original house that has plaster walls...with lots of "character."
This is where I found the kids the other day.....playing on the computer....getting along.....a very rare moment...I love how their feet don't touch...a good thing considering all the construction dust on the floor.....its everywhere right now....because the sheetrock "crew" did not properly seal the house before they started to sand the walls.....so even though the new space is amazing....the rest of the house is a complete disaster! AND, I have two sick kids today.....both coughing (crazy dust doesn't help) and Caroline has a double ear infection.....it has been one of those days!

How fun is Halloween with a two year old and a four year old?! Sooooooo much fun! They couldn't contain themselves.......until a neighbor almost scared the Elmo costume right off Coop....poor little guy! All he wanted was a pop!
One Elmo....and one strawberry ballerina (yes, we recycled her recital costume)

Love you Gramma!

Wearing the silly costume, walking, running, being scared by neighbor, more walking, being nagged by mommy to say thank you, carrying heavy bucket of candy......it was all worth it.....Cooper just wanted a pop.
