Disney!!

just unpacked….and now re-living our trip through over 800 pictures!

the excitement from the kids was crazy fun!!!

Coop’s face was priceless as we drove into Disney…he couldn’t contain his excitement….he wanted to jump right out of his seat…  “feels just like my dream momma!!!!!”

after checking into the Wilderness Lodge…..

we headed to the docks, where the boat was waiting to take us to Magic Kingdom!!!

Playing catch up!

I think the last time I posted was Valentine’s Day…..    

life has been crazy!

a good crazy, I have to keep reminding myself, a good crazy!

Cooper is now reading…holy cow!

Basketball season is over and done……the kiddos did wonderful!!!

 

hubby ran the whole show!! Here is Caroline’s team giving flowers to their coaches……they had girls from the high school coaching them…they rocked!!!

we let the kids sleep in the same room….they loved it!!! the were so cute…whispering when the lights went out…and right to sleep when we told them!!! ….however, our early bird Caroline woke sleep head Coop up at 5am….not so cute.

we had a visit from the leprechaun….with strict orders not to mess up the house (I really don’t get the whole messy trick thing) and not to go upstairs near the kiddos’ rooms. Yes, we will be paying for therapy for our kids…for fears of little people….elfs at Christmas time and now little leprechauns!

  

the kids leave out a pair of shoes for the leprechauns to fill with goodies….

this year we tried a new tradition….an Easter Garden. I first read about it here.  And since I was in charge of Sunday school….we got busy making a couple gardens…..

a path of stones leading to a tomb with Jesus inside, guards watching over, candles representing the light to come, water to symbolize hope, and a cactus to represent the crown of thorns.

     Our first Easter celebration was today, church for palm Sunday and Easter egg making in Sunday school for the kids…..family and friends from near and far arrived….

and now this table that was filled with family and friends, tulips, candles and good food….is now cleared off….

and now is “packing central”…piled high with bathing suits, towels, clothes, travel snacks, cameras…getting ready for our next adventure!!!! Counting down the days!!!!

Bunny Day on the hill

our ski hill celebrated the opening of their Bunny Lift…..they had bunny events all day….the kids were super excited!!

skiing bunnies, bunny hunt, bunny parades, bunny egg hunt, bring your favorite bunny, bunny crafts….and lots of prizes.

on the “letting go” front….yup, the kids are now riding the lift without us!! 

the kids were so cute with their bunny ears!!

 

on a scary note….we watched Cooper can thrown off of his skis after getting hit by another skier….he got hit so hard he flew into the air, feet over his head down the hill. I have never seen anyone get hit so hard….he was in complete shock when we picked him up…and hubby and I had knots in our stomachs for the rest of the day.

good news…after getting checked out by the ski patrol, an ice pack, and lots of hugs and kisses….he got back on the hill!!!

now…all grown up!!!

I loved watching how excited the 2 of them got getting ready for the dance….they truly cherished this special night…danced the night away….and made some very happy memories!!!

still here….

just busy.

a good busy.

my life is full busy.

and even though some things have taken a back seat,

like blogging

I’m ok with that.

Because my days are filled with so many good things.

this month i have been thinking about resolutions….

one of my resolutions this year, (Yes, I’m an over achiever…so I have more then one resolution!) is to SIMPLIFY!!!

and I have been using this wonderful online De-clutter calendar….check it out here. I printed it out and have it hanging on my fridge….it keeps me focused and i get to cross things off when I’m done….love it!!

another resolution…Step outside my comfort zone….so last week when a friend asked me to join her for a Zumba class….I usually would of said, “No way, not me!” but instead I said “why not!” I went, had fun, and can’t wait to go again!!

this month we have been non-stop skiing….the kids LOVE it!! When we get to the hill Caroline goes off to ski with her friends (and has learned the hard way that a black diamond trail is NOT a good idea!) Cooper loves finding any little bump to jump off, making great turns down the mountain, and working on getting on and off the chair by himself. They also like taking off one ski, hiking up the bunny hill, and skiing down with one ski! They ski from the moment we get on the hill until the time they shut down the chair….and I have to beg them to come in for lunch!

i have had to “let go” a lot….letting go of control with my kiddos is not an easy thing…..it first started out with Caroline wanting to go up the chair without one of us….and let me tell you…I am a nervous mom when we are skiing! But I had to put a side my fears, and let go….I knew in my head that she was ready, but my fears were filling my head with all the “what ifs”

next, she wanted to ski off with her friends. reluctantly, i let her go. She loves the freedom and I am proud of her responsible behavior…..but i think i have a few more grey hairs from all the worrying!

I love riding up the chair with them and chatting! this little guy has so much to say!!!

I was inside the lodge at this point….the kids totally outlast me….Coop decided to write “mom” in the snow…love him!
